2017 Mazda Miata (MX-5) RF

The all new 2017 Mazda Miata (MX-5)...the new vehicle which has come a long way since its first generational relatives. The popular saying of "letting the wind blow through your hair" has a new meaning with the new Miata, now newly designed with a retractable roof.

With the design of the 2017 Mazda Miata (MX-5) RF changing over the course of the years, designers wanted to create something different for 2017, but was unsure where to take the path on the project. Then one day, something clicked within the designers. Their overall goal in mind was to expect owners to spend time in a Miata with the rooftop closed, occasionally having the roof open on warm, sunny days. Beginning development, designers worked countless hours thinking backwards at designing a sports car that gives a driver vigorous emotions- sense of security when the roof is closed, and a exhilarating adventurous feeling when the roof is open. Now with fastback lines and a retractable roof with various roof sections, the all new 2017 Mazda Miata (MX-5) RF will resonate with any car lovers who love a good sports car.

Lighter than it's other companions, the 2017 Mazda Miata has been built with a frame that has shedded about 20% of its aluminum body frame from previous generations.  With an increased height by 5mm, the 2017 Mazda Miata has one of the fastest opening/closing retractable rooftops with motions at speeds 6mph or less. What is interesting about the Miata's retractable rooftops is how the roof spilts into sections.  The hardtop roof consists of a front roof, middle roof, rear roof and back window glass. When opening up the roof, the front and middle roof sections are stowed together with the back window glass in the space behind the seats. What tops off the 2017 Mazda Miata is the interior, which is just as gorgeous as the exterior. With an instrumental panel, gear selectors and leather seats, it is one of the best selling roadster of all time.
