2019 Mazda MX-5 Miata

The exterior design of the 2019 MX-5 was inspired by the classic roadsters of the 1960s. With three trim levels to choose from — Sport, Club, and Grand Touring — you're sure to find an MX-5 that fits your style.

All trim levels come standard with a chrome tip exhaust, body-colored door handles, body-colored bumpers, and a black grille. The MX-5's soft top convertible roof is manually operated. Optional exterior features include front mud flaps, a spoiler, and metallic paint. The Sport trim is available in four exterior colors, while the Club is available in five. The Grand Touring gives you six exterior colors to choose from.

The 2019 MX-5 was designed to be more powerful than ever before. While the engine in previous versions of the MX-5 is capable of putting out 155 horsepower, the 2019 model has been upgraded to a 181-horsepower 2.0-liter I-4 engine. This new and improved engine is capable of producing 151 pound-feet of torque. The MX-5's redline has also been increased from 6,800 revolutions per minute to 7,500 rpm.

The 2019 MX-5 comes equipped with a six-speed manual transmission that, while smaller and lighter than previous versions, still has the short-throw precision that the MX-5 is famous for. A six-speed automatic transmission with steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters is also available. The MX-5's Skyactiv Chassis resists torsion when cornering, giving the car its nimbleness and stability. Mazda's exclusive Skyactiv technology is used throughout the MX-5 to make it lighter and more responsive than ever before. The MX-5 is capable of reaching 26 miles per gallon in the city and 35 mph on the highway.

With three interior colors to choose from, the 2019 MX-5 Miata's inside is just as sleek and stylish as its outside. The Sport and Club trims feature cloth-upholstered seats, while the Grand Touring's seats are leather-upholstered and heated. All models include eye-catching chrome interior accents, a leather sport steering wheel, and a leather shift knob. Optional interior features include sport pedals, vinyl floor mats, and a cargo tray. The MX-5 seats two people and has a maximum cargo space of 4.6 cubic feet.

The 2019 MX-5 was designed with your safety in mind. All models come standard with brake assist, traction control, side impact door beams, and a total of four occupant sensing air bags. Other standard safety features include a panic alarm and remote keyless entry. The available adaptive front-lighting system is designed to help you see around corners while driving at night. The lane departure warning system alerts you, audibly and visually, in the event that your vehicle is drifting out of its lane, while the blind spot monitoring system alerts you to other vehicles on the road.
