2022 Mazda CX-50

The trim levels have not yet been revealed, except to say that the 2022 Mazda CX-50 will also offer trims with electrified powertrains, including a traditional hybrid model, in the not-too-distant future. The exterior of the vehicle exudes strength with protruding fenders and sturdy wheel arch cladding. Other adventure elements include a wide track, chunky rubber, and a large grille that cohesively blend together. A new exterior color, Zircon Sand, embodies the outdoors and looks great with the exterior black detailing.

Mazda's efficient powertrains, the Skyactiv-G 2.5-liter naturally aspirated engine or Skyactiv-G 2.5-liter turbo engine will power the CX-50, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. The Skyactiv-G engine pushes out 187 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque while the Skyactiv-G turbo produces 250 horsepower and 320 pound-feet of torque.

Mazda aims to improve its driving experience to create greater confidence both on and off-road with the new CX-50. The vehicle comes standard with the latest i-ACTIV AWD technology and the new Mazda intelligent Drive Select, or Mi-Drive. It allows you to choose your drive mode with the Mi-Drive switch to drive comfortably in different conditions, such as off-road terrain or when you need to tow something.

The well-crafted interior focuses on driver and passenger comfort as well as functionality for outdoor enthusiasts. The longer cargo floor and liftgate opening are practical for stowing your luggage and outdoor gear. The simplified dashboard design has a widescreen infotainment display operated via a dial on the center console, which sits high up in the front cabin. The cabin's minimalist design, clear instruments, plush materials, and panoramic moon roof creates a feeling of closeness to nature.

Although there is not yet much information on the CX-50's safety features, Mazda's regular safety features give you an idea of what is in store. You can be sure that nothing is spared when it comes to safety. i-ACTIVSENSE makes use of milliwave radars and cameras to keep the driver informed of the surroundings and to alert the driver to possible dangers to avoid collisions. This includes Mazda's Active Safety Technology, Pre-Collision Safety Technology, and Passive Safety Technology. The rigid SKYACTIV-BODY with ring structure, seatbelt with pre-tensioner and load limiter, anti-intrusion brake pedal, SRS Airbag Systems2, and others, are Mazda technologies that help protect passengers and decrease possible damage.
