2026 Mazda CX-50

The 2.5 S Select establishes the range with standard i-Activ AWD®, wireless Apple CarPlay® integration, and Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop & Go. The 2.5 S Preferred adds a power liftgate, an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, and front and rear parking sensors. The 2.5 S Meridian Edition develops a more rugged character with 18-inch Black Metallic alloy wheels, black roof rails, and heated front seats. The 2.5 S Premium moves toward luxury with 20-inch machine-cut alloy wheels, ventilated front seats, and a windshield wiper de-icer. The 2.5 Turbo introduces the stronger turbocharged engine, Adaptive Front-lighting System, and increased towing capability. The 2.5 Turbo Meridian Edition combines that performance with off-road-inspired styling, a heated steering wheel, and Mazda navigation. At the top, the 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus adds a 360° View Monitor with See-through View, Cruising and Traffic Support, and additional advanced braking technology.

Naturally aspirated CX-50 models use a SKYACTIV®-G 2.5L engine producing 187 hp and 185 lbs. ft. of torque. Turbocharged models increase output to as much as 256 hp and 320 lbs. ft. of torque when using premium fuel. Every CX-50 includes standard i-Activ AWD® and Mazda Intelligent Drive Select, or Mi-Drive, with Normal, Sport, Off-Road, and available Towing modes.

The CX-50 combines responsive road behavior with hardware designed for changing surfaces. Standard i-Activ AWD® proactively distributes torque, while G-Vectoring Control Plus supports stability through corners. Ground clearance ranges from 8.3 to 8.6 inches, providing additional room for uneven terrain and snow. Properly equipped naturally aspirated models can tow up to 2,000 lbs., while Turbo models increase maximum towing capacity to 3,500 lbs.

The CX-50 seats 5 within a driver-centered cabin designed around straightforward controls and premium materials. Its cargo compartment provides 31.4 cu. ft. behind the second row and expands to 56.3 cu. ft. with the rear seats folded, giving owners room for luggage, outdoor equipment, or larger everyday loads. An available panoramic moonroof opens the cabin visually, while upper trims introduce ventilated front seats and additional premium appointments.

Alexa Built-in provides voice control for navigation, music, climate settings, and compatible smart-home devices through a 10.25-inch center infotainment screen. Mazda Connected Services and the MyMazda App support remote engine start, vehicle location, and remote locking and unlocking through a complimentary one-year trial. Available Mazda navigation, Bose® premium audio, and SiriusXM® expand the technology offering on higher configurations.

Standard i-Activsense® technologies include Smart Brake Support, Blind Spot Monitoring, Lane-keep Assist, and Mazda Radar Cruise Control. Higher trims add front and rear parking sensors, Smart Brake Support with Turn-Across Traffic and Front Crossing, Cruising and Traffic Support, and a 360° View Monitor with See-through View, adding further assistance for Rochester traffic and longer journeys across Minnesota.
