The stylish 2019 Mazda CX-5 is a well-equipped and luxurious SUV. The cabin offers a quiet and refined ride, surrounding you with high-quality materials. Interior Styling
The Sport trim has premium cloth upholstery with one-touch reclining and folding 20/40/20 split rear seats and a six-way adjustable driver’s seat, push-button start, cruise control, air conditioning, a leather-wrapped gear shift and multifunction steering wheel, and an electronic parking brake.
Touring models add simulated leather upholstery with suede inserts, heated front seats, a power driver’s seat, dual-zone climate control, and adaptive cruise control. The Grand Touring offers leather-trimmed seats with a power passenger seat and eight-way power driver’s seat, and a 7-inch multi-information display.
Grand Touring Reserve models have ventilated and heated front seats, heated steering wheel, and a head-up display. The Signature trim gives you Nappa leather seating, ambient lighting, and real wood trim.
Mazda Connect Infotainment System
Sport models have a 7-inch touch screen, four-speaker audio with internet radio integration and HD radio, voice command with Bluetooth, a multifunction commander control, 12-volt power outlets, two USB ports, and an auxiliary input.
The Touring trim adds smartphone integration, two rear USB ports, and six-speaker audio, while the Grand Touring has a 10-speaker Bose sound system with satellite radio and a navigation system.
Exterior Features
The sleek exterior of the Sport trim features Mazda’s distinctive grille, LED automatic headlamps, daytime running lights (DRL), remote keyless entry, 17-inch alloy wheels, body-colored roof spoiler and power side mirrors with LED turn signals, and bright dual exhaust tips.
The Touring trim offers rear privacy glass and automatic leveling headlamps, while the Grand Touring adds adaptive front lights, LED foglamps and taillights, LED DRL, heated side mirrors, a power moonroof, and 19-inch wheels. On Grand Touring Reserve and Signature trims you’ll find windshield wiper de-icer, power folding side mirrors, and a power liftgate.
Power and Performance
Powering the lower trim levels is a lively and responsive 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 187 horsepower and 185 pound-feet of torque. A six-speed automatic transmission transfers the power to the front or all four wheels. You’ll get up to 24 and 30 mpg in the city and on the highway.
Grand Touring Reserve and Signature trims get a 250-horsepower turbocharged 2.5-liter unit delivering 310 pound-feet of torque. It will return up to 22 and 27 mpg for city and highway driving.
Safety Features
The CX-5 has an array of standard safety features, including low-speed forward collision warning with automatic braking, blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic warning, a rearview camera, traction control, dynamic stability control, and hill start assist.
Touring models add lane keeping assistance, lane departure alert, and automatic high beams, while the Grand Touring has an auto-dimming rearview mirror. Signature trim features front and rear parking sensors and a 360-degree camera system.
