Performance
Every CX-30 features a 186-horsepower, 2.5-liter engine. The standard transmission is a six-speed automatic that includes manual-shift and sport modes. All models are equipped with front-wheel drive, with an available all-wheel-drive option. Mazda’s optional cylinder deactivation tech (CDA) actively increases fuel efficiency by closing half of the CX-30’s cylinders.
The CX-30 has an impressive fuel economy. Front-wheel-drive models have an EPA-estimated fuel efficiency rating of 33 mpg combined city/highway. All-wheel-drive models have a fuel economy rating of 31 mpg combined city/highway. All-wheel-drive equipped with Mazda’s CDA tech have a fuel efficiency of 32 combined city/highway.
Exterior Features
All CX-30 models include LED headlights, combination taillights, and daytime running lights. The Premium model includes signature lighting around both the headlights and taillights. Mazda’s adaptive front-lighting system is also included in the Premium. This state-of-the-art system connects the vehicle headlights to the steering wheel, allowing you to see around curves.
All models feature rain-sensing wipers and a spoiler. The base CX-30 is equipped with 16-inch wheels. The Select, Preferred, and Premium models include 18-inch wheels. Power side mirrors are standard on all models, with integrated turn signals included in all but the base CX-30. The Premium model also includes a power sliding moon roof, a rear power liftgate, and roof rails.
Infotainment and Cabin Features
All models feature push-button start, power windows, and power locks with remote keyless entry. All models have 60/40 split-folding rear seats. Heated front seats are standard on the Preferred and Premium models. Cargo space with the rear seats in use is 20.2 cubic feet. With the rear seats folded flat, cargo space increases to 45.2 cubic feet.
A 7-inch LCD driver display is standard on all CX-30 models. Every model features the Mazda Connect Infotainment system. This system includes an 8.8-inch full-color touch screen, Pandora integration, voice command, HD Radio, and in-car Wi-Fi. Bluetooth connectivity is also standard on all models. The base and Select CX-30s include an 8-speaker audio system. The Preferred and Premium models boast a 12-speaker Bose audio system. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard on all models except for the base CX-30.
Safety and Security Features
Every Mazda CX-30 is equipped with advanced front and side air bags, LATCH child seat anchors and upper tethers, and a rearview camera. Other safety features include smart brake support, high beam control, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, traction control, radar cruise control, and driver attention alert. The Select, Preferred, and Premium models also include blind-spot monitoring and rear-cross traffic alert.
Mazda’s Mobile 911 automatic emergency notification system is standard on all models. If your car detects damage to crush sensors or airbag deployment, it will automatically use your paired phone to dial emergency services. Every CX-30 features an engine-immobilizer anti-theft system. This state-of-the-art security system only allows the engine to start if your key fob’s electronic code matches the code in the immobilizer.
